CRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAPPPPPPP
First off - the weekend got away from me - forgot to blog!
Okay P3 is way harder than the protocol!!! This balancing thing sucks for lack of a better word - I'm up 8.6 lbs from my LIW!!!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGG!!! And haven't been exactly on the P3! Everyone's right!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! Don't be foolish to think you are the exception to the rule!!! NO ONE is the EXCEPTION on this protocol - just go read the Yahoo forums!!!! Anyone who is a deviant - pays the price eventually! I'm a deviant - forgive me - forgive myself!!!
I've been doing protein days (too much protein? not enough veggies?) I think too much cheese and peanut butter and yes it's without sugar/salt. However, some of the other things I've eaten have had carbs/sugar/salt.
I was so backlogged this morning I was beginning to feel sick - 3-4 days with minimal bowel movements. Today was about to be day 5 - feeling toxic, backed up and all-n-out icky - I was desperate and had to do something. Since, I've been strictly forbidden from taking any teas due to my surgery - Smooth Move tea was out! I went with the salt flush this morning - I had it on hand, it's cheap, no side effects (other than being tied to the bathroom for a few hours) and it is effective!
What's that you ask? What's this salt flush?
Salt Flush
32 oz warm water
1 TBSP Gray Celtic Sea Salt (DO NOT use Iodized salt)
Drink the whole container on an empty stomach first thing in the morning - and be prepared (do not leave the house until it's done doing it's work or you'll be in trouble!) You can also do 16 oz warm water with the salt then follow with 16 oz fresh water. It's essential to do all 32 oz water.
So, I'm not sure if the weight gain is A) quitting smoking related B) BM backlog 3-4 days C) eating too much D) increased weight lifting E) all of the above. I'm voting E all of the above. All I can do is take the losses and move forward and just plan to lose it the next round. All in all the my health is better with having quit smoking - I can do more in the gym now and don't feel as bogged down and tired. Going to increase my veggies today and go back to protocol type foods just in larger quantities and hope that my gain corrects itself. So, mostly protein today and if I'm still at the same weight tomorrow - it will be a steak day!
I still feel pretty gross from the backlog even though the salt flush literally flushed my system! I may have to do a second flush tomorrow morning cuz' I still feel a bit icky. I may need to move into a cleanse program after my surgery and postpone my next round. I know I talked about this last time but I cannot explain exactly how bloated/gross I feel today. I am not sick just feel toxic, bloated and gross.
I may just go and get some Kale and steam it up - that always works to clean me out :D Now that I've typed that I'm going to run to the local health food store and get some Kale and the local market to get some fish - keep it light and clean....
If I can get it back on track and get back to within 2 lbs of LIW I may skip the cleanse. We'll have to see won't we.
THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR COMMENTS AND POSTS!!!! I'm glad you're out there reading! Keep rooting for me - I'm still trying and struggling through this journey - but happily so as I am discovering a lot. Also this my first attempt at P3 - so all in all not doing to bad - could be better, however, I could have already gained back all the weight I lost - it's very doable as I'm finding out it's not hard to put it back on!!! YIKES! Signing off now - going to get me Kale and fish!

Toni,
I am definitly rooting for you!! I know how hard phase three is!! Keep your chin up and keep truckin on!
yikes im so not looking forward to P3 :(
keep it up i have no doubt you will lose the 8 and another 8 on top of that! :)
Thanks Lori... I thought P3 would be easier - but it's so NOT! I think I'm stabilizing at aroun 215.8 which is 8.6 lbs above my LIW - it's disappointing but - I'll have to live with it.
Do you think that it would be worth to start this diet or should i try something else. It seems that about 50% of people success while 50% fail, im not sure why so many people have different results... :/
Toni,
I SOOOO know how you feel! I did several rounds of phase two, only to gain most of it back in phase three. It is very disappointing and upsetting. But I can tell ya that it IS possible to maintain...this last round of phase three I stayed within 2 pounds of my LIW the whole time. It was amazing to me. Maybe we can talk some time and I can give you some tips that really helped me....my email is: Loriorioreo@msn.com. Shoot me an email and I'll give you my phone number. I'd love to try to help someone that is going through what I already went through. Don't give up on this... you CAN do it!!

To Mary:
Don't fear P3 - it's my first time actually doing it and I'm just having a time - with quitting the smoking and having surgery - I think it's just bad timing :D Check into the Atkin's links I put on my page for doing the P3. I'm sure if I would have followed this I would have sailed through no problems.

Yes, I definitly believe in this program - for me it's like riding a bike - I fall a lot but soon I'll have it down and will not even look back. I'm almost to the goal line and with gaining the muscle I'm looking forward to getting to my final destination :D
