THE GYM

Went to the gym today and did an hour of cardio - it felt good but it takes me a while to get motivated. How do you motivate yourself for the gym? It's not something I particularly like to do at this point. Don't mind when I'm meeting with my trainer. Do I need to find a partner to go to the gym? Never thought of the gym as my outlet for socialization - but maybe it is... Cherie and I were discussing group classes - maybe that is what I need to do. My feet go numb on the elliptical - I get shin splints on the treadmill and I find the bike just all and out boring. I find that I am watching the clock count down when I am doing any of the stationary stuff. Maybe the class stuff is more what I need to do. Now that my back is healed I really want to start up doing Salsa classes again - it's something that I really enjoy and haven't done in over a year. Maybe the West Coast Swing too! I LOVE TO DANCE!!! Just pondering - so now I will go and check out the dance classes and meetup here locally...

I find that its alot easier to goto the guy first thing in the mornging, otherwise i just keep telling myself ill do it later, later, later and by that time its the end of the day. I also go with my friend, i dont think i could have the motivation to go by myself lol.

I just need to get my kids motivated to go with me... I have memberships for them too! We'll have to see. And early for me would be getting up at 4:30 in the morning so I could be back home by 6:00 to get ready for work... I have an insane schedule... I need to see what I can do - my trainer wants me to get to the gym 4x for 40 min of cardio rather than 2x for 60... I'm going to have to figure something out - I have to sleep sometime ????
